How to Rotate Images
Upload Images
Click the upload area or drag in images to rotate. Supports JPG, PNG, WebP and other mainstream formats. Batch upload available.
Select Rotation Angle
Choose 90°/180°/270° standard angles, or enter custom angle for fine adjustment. Instant preview available.
Click Rotate
Click the rotate button and the tool will rotate the image at the selected angle. Standard angles are lossless, custom angles can crop blank edges.

Download rotated images to your device. Choose output format. Batch rotation of multiple images supported.
Core Features
Standard Angle Rotation
Provides 90°, 180°, 270° three standard angle rotations. These are integer multiple rotations that won't create blank edges and are completely lossless. Suitable for correcting photo orientation, adjusting landscape/portrait ratios, and other common needs. Standard angle rotation is the most commonly used operation, quickly correcting orientation without any quality loss.
Arbitrary Angle Fine Adjustment
Enter any angle between 0-360° for fine adjustment, precise to decimal points. Suitable for creative tilt effects, correcting slightly skewed scans, or compositions requiring specific angles. After rotation, edges may have blank areas that can be cropped or filled with background color.
Batch Rotation
Upload multiple images at once and batch rotate them. Download individually or package as ZIP for one-time download. Batch processing is ideal for scenarios requiring unified rotation of many images, such as correcting batches of incorrectly oriented phone photos, unifying scan orientations, or batch processing product images.
Instant Preview
Rotation operations can be previewed instantly without waiting for processing to complete. Real-time display of rotated image when adjusting angles, making it easy to find the most suitable angle. Preview makes rotation operations more intuitive and efficient, avoiding repeated trial and error, especially suitable for precise adjustment during arbitrary angle fine-tuning.
| Rotation Angle | Description | Typical Use |
|---|---|---|
| 90° Clockwise | Rotate right 90 degrees | Correct landscape photos |
| 90° Counter-clockwise | Rotate left 90 degrees | Correct reverse photos |
| 180° | Rotate 180 degrees | Correct upside down photos |
| Custom | Any angle | Creative effects |
Use Cases
Correct Shooting Direction
Correct phone photo orientation errors. Some phones lose EXIF orientation information when taking photos, causing photos to display landscape or upside down on computers. 90° or 180° rotation can quickly correct orientation, displaying photos at the correct angle without any quality loss.
Creative Rotation
Design requires tilt effects to enhance visual impact. Arbitrary angle fine adjustment can achieve non-standard tilted compositions, adding dynamism and creativity to posters, banners, and social media images. Combined with cropping to handle blank edges, unique visual effects can be created.
Batch Orientation Correction
Unify processing of image sets with inconsistent orientations. Scans, phone photos, etc. often have inconsistent orientation issues. Batch rotation can correct all image orientations at once, ensuring the image set is neat and consistent. Batch processing greatly improves efficiency, avoiding manual adjustment one by one.
FAQ
Can I rotate at any angle?
Yes. Besides 90°, 180°, 270° standard angles, you can also enter any angle between 0-360° for fine adjustment, precise to decimal points. Arbitrary angle rotation is suitable for creative tilt effects, correcting slightly skewed scans, etc. Note that non-standard angle rotation will create blank areas at image edges, requiring cropping or background color filling.
Will rotation affect image quality?
90°, 180°, 270° standard angle rotation is lossless and won't reduce quality because it only rearranges pixel positions without resampling. Arbitrary angle fine adjustment will have slight quality loss because interpolation algorithms recalculate pixel positions. We recommend prioritizing standard angle rotation, only using arbitrary angles for creative effects, and keeping within small angle ranges.
Can I batch rotate images?
Yes. Upload multiple images at once and batch rotate them. Download individually or package as ZIP for one-time download. Batch processing is ideal for scenarios requiring unified rotation of many images, such as correcting batches of incorrectly oriented phone photos, unifying scan orientations, or batch processing product images - greatly improving efficiency.
Will image dimensions change after rotation?
90° and 270° rotation will swap image width and height. For example, a landscape 1920x1080 image becomes portrait 1080x1920 after rotation, but total pixels remain unchanged. 180° rotation keeps width and height the same. Arbitrary angle rotation will change image dimensions and create blank edges, usually requiring cropping. Standard angle rotation doesn't lose any pixel content, only changes arrangement direction.
Can I mirror flip images?
Mirror flipping and rotation are different operations. Rotation rotates the image around a center point, while mirror flipping flips the image along a horizontal or vertical axis. This tool mainly provides rotation functionality, and some scenarios also support horizontal flip (left-right mirror) and vertical flip (up-down mirror). Mirror flipping is commonly used for correcting text direction, creating symmetrical effects, or processing scan front and back sides.
Which image formats are supported?
Supports JPG, PNG, WebP and other mainstream image formats for rotation. Rotated images can be output in original format or converted to other formats. PNG is suitable for graphics and screenshots requiring transparent backgrounds, JPG for photos, and WebP combines both advantages as the modern web standard. Choose the most appropriate output format based on image content.
